The Japan-America Society of Hawaii was founded in 1976 to promote understanding and friendship between the people of Japan and the United States through the special and unique perspective of Hawaii. Recurring membership programs include Taste of JASH; Japan Currents; Japan-U.S. Military Program; Bridge Awards Event and Silent Auction; Friendship Golf Classic; Natsumatsuri; and more. Educational programs include Japan Wizards Competition; Japan-In-A-Suitcase; Asian-Pacific Children's Convention; Japan Day; and other events throughout the year.
