efficient-buildings.interreg-med.euThe Efficient Buildings Community aims at enabling public administrations in the Mediterranean Europe to manage more efficiently the energy use of public buildings. The Community is coordinated by the Interreg MED Horizontal project MEDNICE - MED programme Networks for an Innovative Cooperation in Energy efficiency, which will foster a more efficient use of energy in public buildings by: • sharing the results of ten thematic Interreg Med projects with a community of stakeholders by supporting and coordinating the projects’ outreach activities; • highlighting innovative solutions to the energy issues faced by public institutions, stemming from the results of the thematic projects; • stimulating and facilitating the dialogue around these solutions among the members of the Community; • and translating the main results of this process into clear messages for policymakers. The Efficient Buildings Community draws on the work of ten thematic projects: SISMA, PRIORITEE, IMPULSE, STEPPING, ENERJ, EduFootprint, TEESCHOOLS, SHERPA, CESBA MED, NEW FINANCE. MEDNICE belongs to the Interreg MED Priority Axis 2 "Fostering low-carbon strategies and energy efficiency in specific MED territories: cities, islands and remote areas. Interreg MED is a transnational programme of European territorial cooperation. It's co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
