The Nigerian Association for women's Advancement (NAWA) is a not for profit, Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) trust registered in Nigeria. NAWA seeks to empower girls and women mainly by granting them access to an integral education and helping them to develop sound moral values, thus helping them to be good citizens, wives, mothers and professionals. NAWA depends on the support of individuals and organizations in various countries of the world in order to achieve it's vision of being a key player in the empowerment of women at all levels, so as to make them agents of social progress. NAWA's projects in Nigeria include: The Lagoon School, Elara Study Centre and the Lagoon Institute of Hospitality Studies in Lagos, Tiebe Women Development Centre in Benin, Zariba Girls and Women Development Centre in Abuja and Greendale Women Development and Study Centre in Nsukka.
