Estudio la//tour
www.estudiolatour.comWorkshop on BIM architectural design and construction, founded in Mexico City in 2014. Questions about how to improve the quality of space and design efficiency, such as the use of new technologies and design processes, are the themes that feed the workshop's imaginary. We make projects more efficient, intelligent and sustainable. Allowing a better control of the stages of the project, helping owners, companies and governments, to develop architectural and executive design, budgets, planning and preventive maintenance, helping to prevent errors and incompatibilities between specialties (structural, facilities, HVAC, thermal comfort , lighting and acoustics) representing all the components that influence design decision making. In the process we propose efficient and precise solutions, avoiding losses in time and resources. We carry out research and digital representations of the environment and the building offering a new database that can be used and updated throughout the project's life cycle, starting from a new project, renovations and subsequent scheduled maintenance. This process is very important as it allows us to understand and predict the behavior of the building in spatial, design, technical and specialty issues. We achieve control of the origin of the materials used and the processes they went through for their choice, so we collect the information to obtain certifications. BIM allows greater cooperation between the various specialists involved in the project, helping to better manage time and workflows and assisting in the detection of those conflicts and incompatibilities that are common in projects. The huge number of buildings present in our cities, and the latent concerns about sustainability, the economy and the protection of natural resources, move us to think that the architecture of the future should focus on the use of tools and knowledge that will help us promote smarter and more efficient projects estudio la//tour is a great ally in this task
