We believe that the time is right to combine our strong business voices to power the advancement of a more sustainable Texas economy. We propose to engage like-minded businesses, investors, and business organizations to advance market and policy shifts for an equitable and sustainable future for all Texans. Focused on a triple bottom line economy that centers People, Planet, and Profit, we advance solutions that counterbalance the “short term profit at all costs” perspective. A Texas Sustainable Business Network (TXSBN) network of business organizations and companies will provide the infrastructure needed to carry the work forward to educate, advocate, influence and impact policy and market shifts while providing Texan specific representation at community, state, and national levels. In partnership, and with the strong support from the established American Sustainable Business Network (ASBN), the TXSBN will create a Texas specific path that reinforces the reality that businesses—the job-creators in our society—can be powerful advocates for sustainability via work with policymakers. We also reimagine and reframe new and innovative storylines for the media; Stories that holdup the many business voices for more equality, equity, resiliency, health, and the advancement of a circular economy.
