Island Nations are at a disadvantage when it comes to meaningful participation in global economics. As a rule they experience higher than average energy costs, resulting in manufacturing being cost prohibitive. Using MSW as a natural resource is not new. However, discovering the right technology in combination with the right business model has proven the key. Waste-to-Energy (W2E) in addition to Waste-to-Synthetic Lumber (W2SL) production in a single facility. Utilizing a broader volume and spectrum of the MSW stream, thereby increasing sustainable: margins; profits; jobs – all while tackling environmental goals.
