CureCervicalCancer
www.curecervicalcancer.orgCureCervicalCancer (CCC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to the early detection and prevention of cervical cancer. Since 2013, CureCervicalCancer has screened over 150,000 women and provided life-saving treatment to 8,500+ women. We have trained 650+ healthcare professionals and 300+ community health educators, and established over 100 sustainable “See & Treat” clinics. Our network of clinics operate in 10 different countries including Ethiopia, Guatemala, Haiti, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, and Vietnam. With early detection and treatment, cervical cancer is nearly 100% preventable, yet it claims the lives of over 300,000 women every year. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), a woman dies of cervical cancer every two minutes, making it one of the greatest threats to women’s health. A disproportionate 90% of these women live in resource limited countries where lack of wide-scale screening fails to identify cervical cancer until it is invasive and access to treatment for invasive cancer is virtually non existent. Without the intervention of early detection and treatment, women in resource poor regions will continue to die from cervical cancer at an alarming rate. In fact, the WHO predicts that by the year 2040 cervical cancer deaths will increase by 50%. The world’s most vulnerable women are unjustly dying from a disease that we have the knowledge and tools to prevent.
