The CvilleBioHub (www.cvillebiohub.org) is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2016 to provide pathways for growth for the many biotechnology and life-science companies in the greater Charlottesville area and to promote the region as a center for this dynamic industry. Charlottesville is home to more than 50 life sciences companies and organizations employing hundreds of people engaged in developing therapeutics, diagnostics, devices, and other products and services to improve human health. With the innovation and intellectual firepower of the University of Virginia, proximity to Washington D.C. and unparalleled quality of life for young professionals and families, the industry has incredible potential for advancement of its entrepreneurial growth engine for the region.
