Reynolds Electric

Our family operated company originally began with Del and Joann Reynolds in the early 1970s. Del was a natural handyman who found his passion in electrical work. After becoming proficient in the trade, he received an electrical license and Reynolds Electric was born. As Del and Joann ran the company out of their house, the business quickly became a small success. After working with Del for many years, his younger brother Ernie Reynolds took command of the business in 1985. Ernie had a vision to take the small service-based company into the larger commercial arena. For the next decade, Reynolds Electric steadily grew, and in 1998 Reynolds Electric merged with local company Hatfield Electric to become Hatfield-Reynolds Electric. As part of an IPO, Hatfield-Reynolds joined a dozen other companies in acquisi tion by IES, the largest single source provider of electrical contracting services in the United States. With corporate financial backing from IES, Hatfield-Reynolds Electric expanded to one of the largest electrical contracting compa nies in the Phoenix valley, with over 250 employees. After ten years, Ernie decided to reshape the business, leaving the corporate world and coming back to its roots as a family operated company, with the same employees, customers, and values, but with greater experience and stronger skills. With the unfortunate passing of Ernie Reynolds in 2011, his son Ben Reynolds and longtime em ployee Manny Gaytan partnered up to carry the torch of the Reynolds Electric legacy. Today, the company remains a successful and integral member of the electrical community in the Phoenix valley.
