METABUILDING is a 3-year H2020 project, funded by the European Innovation Council and SME Executive Agency (EISMEA), providing funding and support (3,75 M€) to more than 140 SMEs of the enlarged Built Environment Sector. * EU H2020 Grant Agreement nº 873964 * 15 project partners join forces to drive innovation to the "traditional" value chain of the Construction sector, by creating an innovation ecosystem stimulating cross-sectoral and cross-border collaboration between metaclusters of 6 different countries: AUSTRIA · HUNGARY · ITALY · FRANCE · PORTUGAL · SPAIN The funding and support is directed to SMEs belonging to one of the following industrial sectors: Construction, Additive Manufacturing, Circular Economy, Nature Based Solutions and Digital Industry. METABUILDING will create a dedicated an Innovation Support Digital Platform accessible to all building stakeholders, to: * Find partners * Join collaborative projects * Discover the latest innovative technologies * Find out about existing funding The digital platform will be closely linked to the European Construction Technology Platform (ECTP) and is supposed to become an important tool for SME innovation and collaboration for the related industrial sectors in Europe. METABUILDING IMPACTS * Provide direct support - financial or non-financial - to SME innovation. * Strengthen the competitiveness of SMEs through international collaboration. * Support for SMEs to get out of the COVID-19 crisis through innovation. * Stimulate the innovation potential of the Construction sector through cross-sectoral and cross-border collaboration. * Establish a digital platform facilitating business and innovation in an enlarged Built Environment Sector. To reach these goals, METABUILDING will promote the Open SME Calls that will be published on the Horizon 2020 Participants Portal and on the projects' own website. Funded projects will be selected through transparent competitive procedures.
