We are an NGO based in VIT, under the Rotary Club of Vellore Presidency, and we are focused on providing a service to others less fortunate than us. We were initially a small group, within our college, that has now grown to comprise of hundreds of enthusiastic members working diligently to better the lives of the underprivileged. By organising trips to old age homes and orphanages, among others, to give whatever assistance we can, we stick to our vision of “Service Above Self”. As a community, we strive to bring unity and a feeling of togetherness within our members, which gets translated onto our work. We bond over treks and interactive sessions held throughout the year to bring us closer to one another. A sense of intimacy is formed with the people that we help; we get to truly connect with their problems and find such satisfaction in knowing that what we do is really making a difference. Multiple events are conducted throughout the year, each allowing us to reach out and help those in need. Shifting to online platforms has also allowed us to interact with the other chapters of Rotaract, enlarging our community exponentially. We are able to join hands with the other branches, spreading out our net of community service to have a much greater reach.
