Guided Steps Ministry
www.guidedsteps.orgGuided Steps Ministry is a non-profit organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty in Guatemala through child sponsorship. Guided Steps Ministry was started in July of 2014 after the founder and director, Nicholas Gaston, returned home from an international short-term mission trip to Guatemala. The organization was founded with the intent of administering a child sponsorship program for a Guatemalan non-profit. After 4 summers of working with the non-profit organization Paso a Paso, located in San Antonio Aguas Calientes, Guatemala, Nick felt called to start a child sponsorship program for this unique organization. Paso a Paso was started by local entrepreneur Marco Tulio and his wife Ana-Luisa as a way to give back to the severely impoverished community in which Marco’s factory resides. Started as an after school program working to keep children in school, this organization quickly expanded to meet a greater need in their community. Paso a Paso now works not only with children, but entire families to provide them with education and training that can help empower them to break the cycle of poverty. Learn more about the child sponsorship program and Paso a Paso by visiting our website: www.guidedsteps.org/ We are sponsored by Faith Lutheran Church (www.shareourfaith.org) in Washington, IL so that 100% of donations can go towards benefiting Paso a Paso.
