Kunoa Cattle Company, LLC
www.kunoacattle.comFounded in 2014 by a third-generation Hawaii rancher, Kunoa is producing food in the islands in a way that honors Hawaii’s natural and cultural resources. Kunoa manages approximately 2,000 cattle across several thousand acres of pasture-land on Kauai and Oahu. We also offer high-quality livestock processing through Oahu’s USDA-inspected livestock harvest facility, which we purchased in 2016. With a team of 25 employees, Kunoa (meaning “stand free”) is passionately committed to healthy, sustainable and abundant food production in Hawaii. THE KUNOA DIFFERENCE Kunoa beef is pasture-raised and natural – lean and delicious. Our herds graze in pasturelands on Kauai and Oahu, spending their entire life in Hawaii with no added hormones or antibiotics. We work with our herds as well as with other ranchers to raise high-quality cattle that are specially suited for pasture finishing and subtropical climates and grasses. This shapes the robust Kunoa flavor profile. Kunoa offers an assortment of popular beef cuts including tenderloin, ribeye and brisket, as well as ground beef and beef bars, and specialty items like beef tongue and marrow bones. Kunoa products are available through the Oahu and Maui locations of Times Supermarket, and beef cuts can also be found at Don Quijote stores on Oahu. Kunoa products are served at restaurants such as Oahu’s Mud Hen Water and Baku Waikiki, and its signature beef bars are available at dozens of Hawaii grocery and convenience store locations throughout Oahu, Maui, Kauai and the Island of Hawaii. STAND FREE — FOOD SECURITY By holistically raising and humanely processing cattle in Hawaii, Kunoa is strengthening not only the state’s food security, but also adding jobs, tax revenue and the consistent availability of high-quality, pasture-raised beef to meet growing consumer demand.
