The 93% Club LSESU
www.eventbrite.co.ukWe are a student run society dedicated to empower the state-educated students at LSE. 93% of the population are state educated, yet this only accounts for ~61% of the home student body at LSE. The 7% who are privately educated account for around 29% of the LSE home cohort. We want to break down this divide, ensuring those of state-educated backgrounds have the same university experience of those who are privately educated, provide an inclusive community, and help those who may feel impostered! Our aims are: 1. Build an inclusive social community through events at a university level and a national level. We understand it may be a bit harder to find people with similar experiences at LSE, you are not alone! This community therefore is not exclusive, we are friends with the privately educated too! 2. Offer useful advice and opportunities, such as careers panels for our members. We hope to aim at aiding in applying for grad schemes, internships, work experiences. 3.To be a voice and a platform for those who are state-educated. A place to express concerns and opinions.
