PT. RAJAMANDALA ELECTRIC POWER (”the company”) is an independent power producer under BOOT (Built, Own, Operate and Transfer) scheme to develop the hydro power plant with the capacity of 47 MW located in the Rajamandala Village, Cianjur Regency, West Java Province - Indonesia. The electricity produced is going to be sold to PT. PLN (Persero) under PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) through 8 km of 150 KV connected to existing Cianjur – Cigareleng transmission line for 30 years contract. The company has established in Jakarta on February 16, 2012 when the deed of establishment was approved by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in its decision letter No. AHU-08273.AH.01.01. Tahun 2012. This power plant is using renewable energy. The power plant utilizes the available head from Saguling HEPP before the water reach Cirata HEPP Dam. This mean, the power plant can generate additional electricity from existing cascading system without add pollution to the environment. The company shareholders are well established companies: PT Indonesia Power (the subsidiary of National Electricity State Company – PT. PLN (Persero), owned 51% shares and KPIC Netherland B.V. (the subsidiary of The Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc., a generating, transmission and distribution company in Japan) owned 49% shares.
