Manage inventory to cover spikes and lulls. 6. Warehouse parts for JIT to reduce carrying costs. HOW WE DO IT With over 25 years of global sourcing experience, we act as an extension of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in North America by offering strategic advice with tangible solutions to maximize value and reduce the risks of outsourcing. 1. Through consignment, we take lead times from 10-14 weeks down to 1-2 days. 2. We have solved chronic quality problems for our customers through review of alternative processes. 3. We look at manufacturing strengths in many countries and seek robust solutions (not cheap ones) with good economy. 4. We investigate the risk to every part we source for economic and political effects and have contingencies identified in the event action is needed. (I.E. we took China from a 70% source down to a 20% prior to any tariffs being applied). 5. We offer cost down opportunities as they are discovered. WHO WE ARE GlobalTech has Engineers in Taiwan, India and Mexico who audit new suppliers, review prints/models with our strategic suppliers and develop control plans, as well as process documents prior to launch. Over the last 25 years, China, Vietnam and other countries have gone through massive changes. Years ago GlobalTech saw the trade war coming and systematically developed partnerships outside of China where the tariffs and high duties do not exist. If you are currently sourcing product in China, we recommend that you dual source with a non-tariff country/supplier until the trade war has been resolved.
