Fern Hill School is a private, independent, co-educational school for students in Preschool to Grade 8 with campuses in Oakville and Burlington. Preschool begins for children who turn three before the end of December and introduces children to Reading and Math, but also to French, Mandarin, Art, Drama, Music, Phys. Ed and Field Studies. As they progress through the grades we add Science, History, Geography, Computer and Life Management. The days are full and students are engaged. Fern Hill has a traditional, directed approach to education but individualizes the programme to meet the needs of each student. Adopting a rotary timetable model where the teachers move each period allows teachers to focus on their subject specialty and develop lesson plans that reach each child in the class. Students learn Art from studio artists, Drama from trained actors, and Music from award winning musicians. Our goal is to find and feed the passion in each child.
