We are Neighbours for the Planet. A group of concerned neighbours aware of the worsening impacts of climate change determined to do something about it. At Neighbours for the Planet, We believe that climate change is the defining problem of our generation. We believe that it is in our power to solve this problem if we all rally together. We believe that contributing to the solution is empowering and fun. We believe that we should invest in solutions which will reap economic benefits in the future. We believe that we are custodians of the earth for future generations. We believe that healthy humanity requires a healthy natural world. We believe it is our duty as citizens both to take action on an individual level and to pressure governments for action at regional, national and international levels. We believe that no matter your age you have an important contribution to make. Who We Are: We are a group of concerned neighbours wanting to spark a change. The IPCC Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5 Degrees Celsius made us realize the gravity of the issue and that immediate action is required. Our Mission: To educate ourselves about sustainable lifestyle practices and incorporate them into our daily lives. To promote and encourage these practices within our local community and connect with other like-minded people. On a wider scale, with our community, influence our elected officials to adopt policies that address the urgent issue of climate change.
