BVN is the Dutch-language public television channel for Dutch and Flemish people abroad. It is a joint venture of the Dutch and Flemish broadcasting organizations Radio Netherlands Worldwide (RNW), Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroep (VRT) and Nederlandse Publieke Omroep (NPO). The channel was started in 1996 and has become a major international channel.
