Interactive Medical Technologies has been a leader in non-radioactive microsphere technology since 1986 when we developed and patented our E-Z Trac Ultraspheres™ for use in regional blood flow studies. Our fluorescent NUFLOW™ microspheres have been designed to not only withstand tissue digestion and processing but also to give clear results when counted on a flow cytometer. Through the Investigator Partner Service (IPS), our team has partnered with research hospitals and universities around the world to analyze experiments for over 20 years at our analytical lab now located on the University of Kansas campus. Regional blood flow studies have been performed since the 1950’s using radioactively labeled microspheres. While the microsphere studies have proven informative, the price of using radioactive materials has become increasingly expensive. Our non-radioactive microspheres require none of the special equipment, disposal, or training needed for radioactive materials, providing a far more cost effective method of performing essentially the same studies. If you are considering a unique experiments with microspheres, please feel free to message us any questions that you may have. We will do our best to work with the specific needs of your experiments.
