El Paso Opera’s 25th Anniversary Season MAINSTAGE PRODUCTION: Cruzar la Cara de la Luna, April 5&6 2019 at Abraham Chavez Theatre CONCERT: Mozart’s The Magic Flute: In Concert, January 11, 12 at El Paso Scottish Rite Temple Theater YOUNG ARTIST PERFORMANCE: Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti, June 1st History: El Paso Opera began in 1992 as Opera a la Carte offering excepts of classical opera. After overwhelming support indicated a desire for fully-staged, complete operatic productions, the organization expanded into a full company in 1994. El Paso Opera is proud to be known as the first opera company in the United States to display dual supertitle translations in both English and Spanish. El Paso Opera has continued to give the region high-quality art and entertainment despite financial difficulty and a trying economy. El Paso Opera strives to give El Pasoans even greater access to opera through expanded outreach, lower ticket pricing and innovative presentations. These were all on display with our recently completed 24th Season. With innovation and new ideas, El Paso Opera successfully attracted new audience members to join longtime supporters. Season 24’s success put El Paso Opera in a great position for its 25th Anniversary season!
