The international team of Gauss Friends, founded in the year 2008, links the mutual passion for science and enthusiasm of the well-known German mathematician Johann Carl Friedrich Gauss. Thereby, different cultures converge here, which justify the richness of the inter-cultural competences of the international team and contribute consequently to a better world understanding. In this process, the Gauss Friends are characterized by a central idea, and are mutually connected as “guests of Gauss”: Friendship worldwide. True to Gauss’s spirit, many international country evenings, theatre plays and language courses are organized regularly by the Gauss Friends thus providing a bridge between culture and science.
