Located in Mill Valley, Marin Theatre Company (MTC) is the Bay Area’s premier mid-sized theater and the leading professional theater in the North Bay. MTC annually produces a season of provocative plays by passionate playwrights in its 231-seat main stage theater MTC is committed to the development and production of new plays by American playwrights, with a comprehensive New Play Program that includes productions of world premieres, two nationally recognized annual playwriting awards, readings and workshops by the nation’s best emerging playwrights and membership in the National New Play Network. MTC's numerous education programs – adult theater classes, teen apprenticeships, the Marin Young Playwrights Festival, a middle school Dramatic Studies Conservatory, student matinees, afterschool classes and resident teaching artists for pre-K through 5th grades, a school tour, a summer theater camp and more – serve more than 12,000 students from over 40 Bay Area schools each year.
