Suomen Saaristokuljetus is a company founded in 2013 in Helsinki, Finland. Currently, the company operates 9 vessels of various sizes, the smallest being a 10-meter long taxi boat and the largest being a 44-meter long cruise ship with accommodation for 50 people. Finland is known as the land of the thousand lakes but it is also the land of the thousand islands. In the Helsinki area alone there are dozens of beautiful and interesting island destinations. Suomen Saaristokuljetus operates routes to several of these islands. Among these is the Helsinki Zoo Korkeasaari, the former bastion island Isosaari and a canal cruise line that stops at six small islands. In addition, the company operates two lines in the nearby city of Espoo, to the Svartholm sea bastion and one line in the city of Loviisa. The company also does longer expeditionary cruises along the northern coast of the Gulf of Finland. Additionally, SSK operates several restaurants and saunas, a golf course, lodging and other activities. During wintertime SSK operates a ship hotel and makes expeditionary cruises with its ice-going vessel MS Hauki. Since 2020 SSK is part of the FRS Group (www.frs.world).
