LiDAR Services International Inc., LSI, is a Canadian based airborne LiDAR service provider that operates two helicopter-based LiDAR systems and one fixed-wing system. Incorporated in 2002, LSI’s business model was devised to provide high quality LiDAR data collection via integration of leading edge technologies. LSI engineers have integrated state of the art scanning lasers with inertial measurement units (IMU), GPS receivers, digital still and video cameras, airborne MET probes, custom built rank mounted computer systems, and advanced data logging devices into the proprietary MATRIX LiDAR system. LSI’s working owners have an accumulated total in excess of 50 years of experience in the laser/LiDAR survey technology field, from research, design, integration, manufacturing, to the collection of LiDAR data on five continents around the world. LSI’s core field staff have significant international and domestic LiDAR experience and have operated and supported operations in the most remote and extreme environments worldwide.
