La Romita School of Art was founded in 1966 and incorporated as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 educational organization in 1983. The Mission of La Romita School is to inspire individual creativity and artistic expression through workshops in Italy, cultural exchange, and appreciation of the arts. Over the past 48 years, La Romita has hosted hundreds of art workshops for professional artists, students of the arts, cooking aficionados, photographers, and writers from the United States and around the world in the province of Umbria, in Central Italy.
