NorduGrid is a Research and Development collaboration that develops and maintains a free Open Source Grid middleware, the Advanced Resource Connector (ARC). ARC is a result of the cooperation between several projects supporting NorduGrid: the EU KnowARC, the Nordic Data Grid Facility and NGIn. ARC provides a reliable implementation of fundamental Grid services and utilities since 2002. A growing number of Grid deployments chose the non-intrusive, reliable and lightweight ARC as their middleware.
