Artsreach is a registered charity that brings high quality performances of live theatre, music, dance and family shows to the heart of rural communities across Dorset. Artsreach is also a member of the Arts Council National Portfolio. Artsreach is dedicated to providing people in rural Dorset with the opportunity to choose and promote professional arts events in their local venue. Our performance programme runs through a network of around 50 volunteer promoting groups and together we organise over 140 high quality professional events every year, usually in village halls, right across rural Dorset. Not only do our events provide the opportunity to enjoy high quality arts on your doorstep, they are also a great social occasion! The income generated from audience members purchasing tickets plays a vital role in supporting both Artsreach as a scheme, and the community venues in which events take place, as event box offices are split between both parties. The organisation is a Company Ltd by Guarantee with charitable status and we currently receive funding from the Arts Council, Dorset County Council and North, West, East and Purbeck District Councils.
