We represent infection preventionists in Los Angeles. APIC Chapter 003. Vision: Prevention of infection across the continuum of healthcare in Los Angeles County Mission: To advance, engage, and grow a community of leaders in infection prevention and epidemiology within Los Angeles County through inspirational, collaborative, and educational efforts Our members prevent and control infections in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient/ambulatory clinics, and home health in private, non-profit, and governmental settings. We are excellent collaborators and are eager to take on new challenges to improve patient safety. We are master communicators who are adept at educating and problem solving. Our members have helped their communities plan and respond to COVID19 - from supporting houses of worship in implementing infection control strategies to consulting with schools to determine infection prevention needs and actions.
