Koperasi Celcom Berhad (KOPCEL) was registered on January 21, 1994 under Section 9 of the Co-operative Societies Act 1993. Therefore, the whole operation of KOPCEL is under the purview of Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia (SKM) and Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives And Consumerian (MDTCC). KOPCEL is wholly owned by employees of Celcom Axiata Berhad (CELCOM), Edotco and KOPCEL group comprising 1,065 members as of February 2018. KOPCEL commenced operations in July 1994 and have been principally involved in providing credit services for members. Under its trading division, KOPCEL operates convenience stores at Menara Celcom and Wisma Celcom.
