The Institute for Interpreting and Translation Studies (TÖI) is Sweden’s leading Institute for teaching and researching translation and interpreting. We teach sign language interpreting, conference interpreting and public service interpreting. We also teach non-literary as well as literary translation, audiovisual translation and media accessibility, specialized and technical translation, as well as machine translation and post-editing. Our research areas include literary and non-literary translation, AVT, translation sociology, cognition and translation, as well as interactional, sociological and cognitive research on all types of spoken and signed language interpreting.
