We're a new charity aiming to encourage a more positive public response towards veterans struggling with homelessness or mental trauma. We want to raise awareness of their plight, improve their employment prospects and broaden appreciation of their worth. We also want to encourage more veterans to seek help, rather than be held back by stigma and loss of hope. "You only have to chat to these guys for five minutes to appreciate what they can still contribute.... how valuable they are within society." Prince Harry Flagship Event Our flagship event is the run of a new play 'The Terminus', planned to open in the future. Its central character is a war veteran who sleeps rough on the concourse of a railway terminus. His heroic sense of humour and epic struggle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder form the play's main narrative. "Very vivid and moving.... I am excited by having some type of design involvement in its production." Paul Day, International Sculptor Crucially, many of the actors will be from the award-winning Combat Veterans Players, half of whom have been homeless and all of whom have suffered from mental trauma. Our Strategy The achievement of the actors will be extraordinary, equivalent to men and women with prosthetic limbs running a marathon. To communicate this far beyond the walls of the theatre we will harness publicity ventures. These include national press coverage, feature articles in magazines and a TV documentary. We will also be using our network of high-profile and strategically placed ambassadors to tilt public perception nationally and locally.
