The UCCM Anishnaabe Police Service provides policing services to the six United Chiefs and Councils of Mnidoo Mnising (UCCMM) First Nation communities. The Police Service operates through a tripartite policing agreement with Public Safety Canada and the Ministry of the Solicitor General. The Service is governed by a Police Service Commission with representatives from the six UCCMM communities and an Elder. The Police Service employs 27 employees, who range in rank from the Chief of Police, Sergeants, Detective Constables, Constables, and Director of Corporate Services, Finance and Human Resource Coordinator, and other civilian members. The UCCM Anishnaabe Police Service not only delivers policing services but they also deliver the Social Navigator program as part of its core services. The Social Navigator Program assists the organization in meeting it's vision and mission, and creating positive relationships with the UCCMM communities. Vision Statement: The UCCM Anishnaabe Police will be a partner in community wellness by providing proactive, culturally sensitive, and innovative service while respecting existing laws, customs, and traditions.
