The power of an IDEA. IDEA Space is an innovative, hands-on STEAM learning center serving K12 students throughout the Kansas City area. Powered by the educational excellence of The Barstow School and conveniently located along State Line Road in Leawood, Kansas, IDEA Space focuses on innovation, discovery, entrepreneurship and arts. IDEA Space uses science, technology, engineering, arts and math as conduits to spark children’s imaginations, creating pathways into the workforce and bright futures for Kansas City’s next generation of innovators. In the Makerspace, Technology Lab, Incubation Hub and Fabrication Workshop, students grow their comfort and confidence in STEAM fields equipped with cutting edge tools and technology and guided by master teachers, technicians and artists.
