Front Porch Investments
www.omahafoundation.orgFront Porch Investments is a new collaborative model for solving our city’s biggest housing issues - equitably and efficiently. The recent Omaha Metro Affordable Housing Study confirmed what many of us already knew: our community must create 100,000 more affordable housing units over the next two decades to meet the growing demand for homes and apartments that local families can actually afford. This issue affects everyone in our community, and whether it’s public funding to promote housing stability, support from private philanthropy to end homelessness, or corporate investments to help young working families achieve homeownership, funders are seeking an organized and efficient way to solve our housing issues. At Front Porch Investments, our mission is to bring these funders together with community stakeholders, impacted residents, housing-supportive nonprofits, and developers to fill the urgent affordable housing gap and work to solve homelessness in our community. Through a rolling application process, we’ll provide gap financing, capacity-building grants, affordable capital, and other resources to our partners to address these issues.
