Founded in 1968 in Milan, Makio Hasuike & Co is one of the first industrial design studios in Italy. It is active in various fields and sectors of design, such as Product Design, Architecture , Exhibit design and Branding design. In over 50 years of activity, numerous projects have been developed for various Italian and international companies, in various fields, contributing to their success through innovative design solutions in terms of appearance and content. The founder of the studio is Makio Hasuike, a leading figure in the international scenario of product design, awarded in 2016 with the prestigious Compasso d'Oro Lifetime Achievement Award. Since 1999, after a few years of experience in London and Tokyo, Naomi Hasuike, an architect by training but also active in product design, branding and art direction, joins her father. For Makio and Naomi, the project must express authenticity and propose a key to understanding a simpler and more pleasant life by combining beauty with needs, thanks to the wise use of technology and through an ethical attitude. There are numerous projects by Makio Hasuike & Co that have obtained prestigious prizes and awards such as the Compasso d'Oro, the Red Dot Design Award, IF Design Award, Design Plus. Some of the designed products have also become part of the permanent collections of important museums, including the MoMA in New York and the Museo del Design of Triennale Milano.
