Circa's operations consist of two business lines: Telecom - based in Calgary, Alberta, the Telecom segment consists high performance telecommunications equipment; and Metals - based in Vaughan, Ontario, the Metals segment consists of metering equipment, enclosures, pole line hardware and other products sold to the Canadian electrical industry through an operating division of the Company. The Telecom segment designs, manufactures, markets and supplies telecommunications products, including surge protection equipment, custom cables and wiring harness assemblies, and ruggedized wired and wireless telephones and paging systems. The Company acquired Westronic Inc., a designer and manufacturer of intelligent device monitoring and alarm management solutions to telecommunications, electric, water and gas utilities, oil and gas companies and Original Equipment Manufacturers and System Integrators. The Metals segment provides custom metal fabrication services to the Telecom segment and to third-party customers. The Metals segment also designs, manufactures, markets and sells metering equipment, fabricated enclosures, pole line hardware and other products to the Canadian electrical industry through its Hydel product line.
