The construction of the roadway Furnas / Ribeira Quente, in 1976, marked the beginning of Tecnovia's activity in the the Autonomous Region of Azores. Since that time, Tecnovia's presence in the Azores expanded rapidly, and the company played an active role in the development of the region, through the execution of main infrastructures, such as maritime and fishing ports, recreation marinas, road works, airports and building construction. Tecnovia Açores - Sociedade de Empreitadas S.A. founded in 1997, is present in several islands of the archipelago, having it's own production centers, fixed and mobile, equipment, technical resources and know-how capable of responding to several challenges. Tecnovia Açores is, since 2005, a Quality certified Company accordingly to ISO 9001.
