For us, the smell of roux is nostalgic, yet wistful. It’s a memory just beyond our reach. We want Roux to be an expression of this bittersweetness. So often media and fashion become ways to reject, avoid, and escape from the negative emotions and experiences. Instead, we want Roux to be a medium to embrace and explore those feelings: It’s never too late to grow, to explore, to wonder. Yes, on one level, we are just a streetwear brand.
