Imagine the return of wildlife and breath-taking views. Eighteen years ago, it was a person who set in motion the violent ruin of so much wooded landscape. Today, it could be people restoring the mountain woodlands to the wondrous wild charm Colorado is known for. RootedFuture began as a gentle concept that could not be ignored. It grew into months of research and planning. And grew, bigger still, into finding the right land to create this program. The land was chosen purposefully in this section of forest that is still healing from the Hayman Fire. Our program is unlike any other tree donation project available to the public. Family-owned and organized. We advocate forest restoration with native and drought-tolerant species of trees that are tended to more personally than a tree donated overseas to ensure your contribution is successful. Managed with care, efforts to water and nurture each tree are well underway. We take it a step further with technology that provides you with the geolocation of the exact tree that is planted in your name. We update photos over time so that you can watch your tree grow. You can witness, in real-time, the gift you give back to this place, leaving it in better condition than how it currently is. Allowing future generations to witness something amazing that you helped create today.
