German Tanker Shipping is a ship-owning company founded in 1998 in Bremen. Our fleet consists of 18 state-of-the-art oilproduct tankers, all of them build in Germany. Our philosophy from the first day has been that as a "true" ship-owning company we take complete control of all our tankers ourselves. Building supervision, manning, chartering, operations, accountancy, funding, payments, insurances, supply of stocks and spare parts, maintenance as well as the constant surveillance and improvement of all quality- and security standards are controlled from the Hans-Böckler-Straße in Bremen. That's how it was in the beginning, and that is how it still is.
