CTREE (Center For Therapeutic Riding Of The East End)
www.ctreeny.orgCenter for Therapeutic Riding of the East End (CTREE), is a not-for-profit (501c3) organization located on the eastern end of Long Island, New York and is a premier accredited member center of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.). CTREE lessons follow PATH guidelines and are taught by PATH International certified instructors and professionals. Program horses and volunteer staff are specially trained. All lessons are held at 41 Narrow Lane in Sagaponack. CTREE provides therapeutic riding lessons and equine assisted activities to children and adults with emotional, cognitive and physical disabilities. With input from parents, caregivers, educators and therapists each participant is evaluated and individual goals and objectives are created to meet their specific needs. Participants are periodically re-evaluated as needed to ensure they are receiving the best possible service that CTREE can provide in order to attain their goals. Private and semi-private lessons are conducted year round in two 8-week sessions and two 10-week sessions. The stables, indoor arena, outdoor arenas, trails and grassy paddocks are all utilized for lessons and equine assisted activities. CTREE also provides therapeutic riding lessons and equine assisted activities for Special Education school groups wishing to enhance their school curriculum. Field trips offer special needs groups therapeutic riding, horsemanship and community integration.
