For over a decade, the UC Merced Undergraduate Research Journal has published groundbreaking research produced by our students across the university's academic disciplines. Founded in 2007 by the UCM Merritt Writing Program, the URJ is produced twice per academic year — once during the Fall Semester and again during the Spring Semester. We encourage everyone, both current students and alumni who have completed research at UC Merced, to submit to the Undergraduate Research Journal for publication! For those interested in gaining experience in research, journalism, and copyediting, students may join the Undergraduate Research Journal by enrolling in Writing 131C.
