LumenAstra was formed in 2020 to commercialize a patent from the Univ of Colorado for a non-invasive, wearable deep-tissue temperature sensor. This sensor technology has applications in cancer hyperthermia therapy, hypothermia (cooling) for aortic dissection repair, brain temperature monitoring for infants at risk of low blood flow (HIE), internal heat stress monitoring for military or athletics and post-stoke or brain trauma patients.
