The Center for Innovation manages the university’s tasks for organization of research. It supports the preparing of the development of research strategies. It attends ELTE’s tasks relating to innovation, cooperation with businesses and technology transfer is responsible for facilitating the exploitation of the research results produced by the University by acting as a bridge between the University and industry. To this end, it - maintains and develops the strategic partnerships established by the University with large companies, SMEs, public and not-for-profit organisations, - operates a central secretariat for intellectual property rights (Secretariat of the Invention Board), - explores the economic exploitability of research results produced by the University (in the field of science, IT or the humanities) in order to improve the innovation potential of the University, and provides assistance to researchers to exploitation or finding industrial partners, if needed.
