When it comes to supporting service members and connected families transitioning from military life to college life, our nation has an obligation to get it right. Today, many organizations assist veterans in meeting their financial obligations. NVLF is different with our focus on fostering success throughout college and beyond. Day one at university looks different for a military student than it does for the traditional student — they’re often older, used to a structured environment, have an intrinsic passion for service, and carry with them years of earned experience, leadership, and skills. But those attributes are often underrecognized and undervalued. That’s why the National Veterans Leadership Foundation aims to support universities in their efforts to successfully transition and support their student veterans to achieve their full leadership potential. Our vision is to be a national resource dedicated to developing leadership, fostering a spirit of service, and creating exceptional outcomes for service men and women and their connected families.
