It is an integrated system of skills enhancement and academic development that includes English, math, and study skills. We offer quality educational services characterized by the synthesis of research, teaching and learning. Our Vision At GCSDS we believe that infinite potential is inherent in every child and that nothing is impossible. We believe that all children need an optimal condition to be able to explore and enhance their capabilities. So we are committed to providing an enabling and empowering learning environment. We believe that skills acquired at childhood continue to empower people even in adulthood and transcends academics. Acting on this principle, GCSDS programs instill not only subject specific skills but general study skills and self-learning strategies gradually paving the way for analytic, independent, creative individuals who can think out of the box. We believe that one size does NOT fit all. Even within one particular grade or level, each student might be unique in their needs and pace. GCSDS lessons and tasks are constantly tailored to fit individual learners and their pace or areas requiring improvement or attention. This attention to individual needs has always paid off well: learners beginning at a slower pace or lower level have invariably progressed steadily to a level comparable to their peers and even beyond. About the GCSDS Concept Our concept is unique, as are our students. The core concepts of GCSDS are a combination and integration of the three cornerstones of solid academic structure: math, language, and study skills. Developing language proficiency is key because English is the medium of academic learning and global interaction. Developing proficiency in math is key because math is at the center of all sciences. Developing and enhancing study skills is key because these are skills that are required for all subjects, for all levels of study, and beyond academics. This is how the GCSDS concept is reflected in our program: Tasks for reinforcing concept knowledge Tasks for practice (in-class and at-home) Teacher-led error correction progressing to students self-correction of errors Teacher-led instruction progressing to self-learning strategies Regular, individualized, remedy-based feedback to students and guardians Competitions, award systems, and incentives for young learners
