Greenlit is a UK-based crowdfunding site designed specifically for creatives working in film, music or theatre to successfully find backing for their projects. Greenlit deals with projects at any phase, from development through production, post, delivery and distribution. Unlike larger platforms that base success on volume rather than individual outcomes, Greenlit is run by creatives who engage with one-on-one consultations with clients and provide the training and tools necessary for creatives to navigate the crowdfunding process. Founded by CEO Peter J. Storey in 2017, Greenlit can assist creatives with budgeting; social media and advertising strategy; press and PR management; and the planning and promotion of rewards. The company also hosts workshops, Q&As, screenings and other events to educate creatives about promoting their projects.
