The Village Family Service Center works to enhance the lives of those we serve through behavioral health and community services. These include counseling, addiction treatment, mentoring, financial guidance, pregnancy counseling, adoption, and more. We trace our roots back to 1891 when we were established as the North Dakota Children's Home Society, a home for orphaned children. Our mission has changed and expanded greatly since then, but our passion for helping continues. Today, our organization is based in Fargo, and serves communities across North Dakota and Minnesota. Our work reaches into more than 30 states and touches the lives of tens of thousands of people each year. True to our roots and our mission, we strive to foster a family-friendly work culture that is healthy for employees and recognizes their obligations both at work and at home. We are a non-profit with a heart for our cause as well as a mind committed to responsibly operating the business side of the organization. The Village is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA), licensed by the North Dakota Department of Human Services, and is a member of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling, Inc., the Employee Assistance Professionals Association, Inc., Alliance for Children and Families, and Big Brothers Big Sisters America.
