Our Mission To serve the community by providing resources, counseling, and one-on-one tutoring to children, youth, and adults in order to enhance their academic skills in all areas. All services offered by the Literacy Council of Middle Tennessee are free of charge to the individual and their families. About Us The Literacy Council of Middle Tennessee helps youth and adults gain the literacy skills that are increasingly required in today's economic environment. Over the years, our volunteer tutors have helped thousands of students get better grades, earn their diplomas, and ultimately have more career opportunities. Because of the generosity of our volunteer tutors and community donors, we are able to provide our services free of charge.
